Grain Mix for Horses
A textured sweet feed appropriate for the mature idle horse, barren mares and many performance, trail and pleasure horses. This product is formulated using high-quality palatable feed ingredients and other nutrients, offering an excellent means of supplementing energy to horses on pasture and/or on high quality hay.
- Formulated for maintenance of mature horses where good quality forage is available
- All natural grains are contained in the product; no grain byproducts or filler-type ingredients are included in loose or pelleted form
- Ideal for use as a base diet when feeding added vitamin/mineral supplements

- Food-grade vegetable oil is added to benefit texture and increase energy content
- Oats used at Formax must exceed U.S. Department of Agriculture Number 2 standards. All oats are recleaned, aspirated and screened to remove any impurities prior to use
- Only U.S. Number 2 corn is used by Formax --- damaged grain or corn screenings are not permitted in the plant
- All grains used in Formax's products are screened on receipt to remove any impurities prior to use in manufacturing

Feed Formax 9% Textured Horse Feed as a grain concentrate to horses at the rate of 0.5 – 1.0 lb. per 100 lbs. of body weight daily split into two or three feedings. To provide additional protein, supplement with Producer Horse Pro according to the table below.
